Preschool/Pre-K
The
learning process varies greatly between Preschool and Pre-K,
though the categories and general focus are the same and
are outlined below.
CIRCLE
TIME
- Have
a "special helper" or leader for the day to
direct the circle time
- Introduce
everyone- go around the circle saying everyone's names
and counting the number of kids
- Discuss
the weather and calendar (use weather board/calendar board)
- Have
teachers describe the activities for the day
- Morning
or Afternoon Greeting song
SMALL
GROUP ACTIVITIES
- Centered
around the domains of problem solving, art/music, language
and motor skills
- Teacher
will have daily activities in each of these areas
