Are you a part of a chain or national center or school?
No, we are privately owned by one individual. This allows
us freedom in developing school wide policies rather than
being dictated to by a corporate policy.

Do you have to be potty trained to attend preschool?
No, we prefer to make decisions on placement of your child
based on discussion between parents and staff.

Are there requirements to move to a new classroom? Do you
have to move?
No, we prefer to make decisions on placement of your child
based on discussion between parents and staff. The only
limitations are in state required limits where infants and
toddlers require more space and different care ratios than
older children.

What are your ratios of staff to child, and the ages of
the children in each classroom?
The
following are state required guidelines. Kid's Learning
Connections meets and exceeds these ratios at all times.
- INFANTS:
Ages 6 weeks to 1 year: 4 to 1
- TODDLERS:
Ages 1 year to 2 ½ years: 4 to 1
- LITTLE
PRESCHOOLERS: Ages 2 ½ years to 3 years: 8 to 1
- PRESCHOOL:
Ages 3 years to 4 years: 10 to 1
- PRE-K:
Ages 4 years to 5 years: 10 to 1

Will we have the same teacher all day or do they float all
around?
Kid's Learning Connection has developed a schedule to minimize
teacher burnout by limiting shifts changes to 2 staff per
day excluding emergencies, weather problems, etc.

Will my child repeat the same curriculum in preschool or
pre-k if he is there all day?
No, we have specially designed our curriculum to vary the
morning and afternoon sessions so that ½ day children
do not miss out and that full day children have different
art projects, activities and games.

Will you be serving lunch?
Yes. We have a hot lunch program that is prepared and served
each day. The cost is a minimal $1.50 per lunch per day.
Our food is prepared fresh at the school and does not come
from a box.

What are your hours of operation?
Monday thru Friday. 7 AM to 6 PM.

How do you handle discipline?
With care and redirection. Kid's Learning Connection believes
in care and positive reinforcement in dealing with any discipline
issues. You will be provided with a more detailed description
of this policy in your parent handbook.

Will there be conferences?
Yes, we will schedule them twice each year. The staff is
also available to meet with parents any time they require
it.
11.
What kind of parent feedback will we get?
Infants, toddlers and little preschoolers will be provided
with a daily log of meals, diaper changes/sleep time and
hallmarks for the day. Preschool and Pre-K will have weekly
logs of important developments and activities.
12.
What kind of curriculum/program do you use?
We have developed a fun based curriculum covering all the
major areas of development. Before leaving our school, your
child will be fully prepared for Kindergarten. A more detailed
description is provided in this package.
13.
Do you do field trips?
Yes, they will be offered for the preschool and pre-k classes.
You will be notified in advance when they are scheduled
for your child's individual class.

Can parents visit?
Yes. We welcome your visit anytime.
15.
Do all children take naps?
All children in attendance for 5 hours or more will be given
the opportunity to nap.

Can you bring personal belongings to school?
Yes. We support anything that will help your child feel
more at home.
17.
Can I do something special for my child's birthday?
Yes. You will get more specific information from your individual
teacher.
18.
Do you have a sibling discount?
Yes, 10%.
19.
Are you open all year round?
Yes, excluding our holiday schedule posted in the parent
handbook.
