Toddler
Program
The
Toddler Program at Kid's Learning Connection is a fun and
challenging environment. Your Toddler is just learning to
venture out on their own so they are thirsty to experience
their world.
The
Toddler Program continues what is taught in the infant program
by focusing on "Touch, Sight, and Sound", but
also continues by offering their first introduction into
a more structured learning environment, all done through
fun activities.
Your
Toddler will be introduced to gross motor and fine motor
development. Gross motor can be stimulated with fun movements
through play, song and dance. Fine motor is slowly introduced
by allowing your child to experience new equipment in art,
computers, and play and puzzles.
Cognitive
stimulation also comes into play by focusing on the basics.
ABC's and 123's, finding your nose and other such stimuli
are fun and important to get your child off to a good start.
Dramatic
play can be a new area for your Toddler by using dress up,
make believe and puppet play.
Social
skills can be one of the most important and hardest skills
for your Toddler to be introduced to. It is their first
real entrance to meeting new friends and seeing that the
concept of "sharing" will start to be introduced.
The
key to the Toddler program is that it is a big developmental
age and each new activity or area will be introduced when
your child is ready, and no sooner.
